Depression Era Uranium Glass Citrus Reamer Insert - This item is a pressed glass citrus reamer or juicer insert, typical of American kitchenware produced during the Depression era, circa 1930s. The piece is manufactured from uranium glass, also commonly referred to as vaseline glass, which contains uranium oxide. This composition causes the glass to exhibit a bright neon green fluorescence when viewed under ultraviolet (black) light.
