Heisey Jadeite Opalescent Glass Spark Plug Barney Google Horse Figurine - This vintage pressed glass figurine was manufactured by A.H. Heisey and Company of Newark, Ohio, and represents the character Spark Plug, the famous racehorse from Billy DeBeck's Barney Google comic strip. The piece is crafted from jadeite opalescent glass, featuring a semi-opaque light green body with characteristic milky-white and yellowish opalescent highlights visible at the extremities such as the head, tail, and base. The horse is modeled wearing its signature blanket and headgear. The right side is embossed with the name SPARK PLUG over a checkered patch, and the base area between the legs is marked U.S.A. The left side is embossed with the name BARNEY GOOGLE'S and the base below is marked with the copyright date © 1923. The underside of the rectangular base bears the embossed Heisey manufacturer trademark, which consists of a capital letter H inside a triangle.
