A Collection of Roseville and American Art Pottery - A collection of four pieces of American art pottery featuring Roseville Pottery and an unmarked matte glaze vase. The group includes a Roseville Fuchsia ewer, pattern 895-7, with embossed fuchsia blossoms on a blended brown and green ground. Also included are two pieces of Roseville White Rose pattern pottery: a bud vase, pattern 993-7, with a scalloped rim and tripod pedestal base, and a small ewer, pattern 981-6, with a high handle and pointed spout. The final piece is a small bulbous vase with integrated lug handles at the rim, finished in a mottled sage green and tan matte glaze. The Roseville pieces are identified by incised marks on the base including the factory name, U.S.A., and pattern numbers. Hand-lettered ink marks are present on the undersides of several pieces. The unmarked vase shows a light-colored, unglazed earthenware foot ring.
