Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Mid-Century Modern
A Pair of Mid-Century Modern Biomorphic Fiberglass Planters in the Style of Adrian Pearsall - A pair of mid-century modern biomorphic planters, attributed to designer Adrian Pearsall for Tonk or Kroehler. Each piece features a long, rectangular white trough with a black-finished interior. The troughs are supported by integrated, four-legged bases with organic, tapering forms that extend upward to secure the planter body, reflecting the atomic and space-age aesthetic of the 1960s. The items are constructed from molded fiberglass or a similar composite material. A small rectangular metal label is present on one of the end supports, though the text is illegible. These forms were produced for use as standalone planters or as bases for glass-top coffee and side tables. Shipping Available.
