A Collection of American Art Pottery Vessels including Pieces of Rookwood Pottery - A collection of American art pottery vessels, primarily featuring pieces manufactured by Rookwood Pottery of Cincinnati, Ohio. The group consists of various glazed earthenware and stoneware items dating from the early to mid 20th century. The identified Rookwood pieces include: a tapered cylindrical pot with a textured surface and four integral feet, finished in a mottled pink glaze with a green rim (model 6113, dated 1929); a bulbous teal blue lotus vase with molded petal designs and a matte finish (model 2090, dated 1924); an octagonal flared vase with a dark blue exterior and teal interior featuring molded foliate and scroll motifs (model 2516, dated 1920); a geometric cube planter in a high gloss cobalt blue glaze with a recessed square opening (model 6561, dated 1936); and a flared rectangular yellow planter with beaded corner molding and four small integral feet (model 6036). The sixth item is an unmarked ovoid vase in the style of McCoy Pottery, featuring a molded relief design of cattails and reeds in a glossy tan to brown transitional glaze. The Rookwood pieces bear the impressed RP flame mark along with their respective date and model numbers on the base.
