Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Weller Roma
A Pair of Weller Roma Pattern Ceramic Wall Pockets - This is a pair of tapered, horn-shaped ceramic wall pockets in the Roma pattern, attributed to Weller Pottery. The glazed earthenware pieces feature a cream ground with relief-molded and hand-colored decoration under the glaze. The primary motif consists of a basket overflowing with roses, positioned beneath a bow with long trailing ribbons. The pointed base is accented with stylized acanthus foliage. The two pockets form a matched pair with differing accent colors; one features lavender-purple ribbons and pink roses, while the other features yellow ribbons and pink/red roses. Both pieces include a single circular hanging hole at the upper rim and flat backs for wall mounting. Indistinct impressed or stamped marks are present on the reverse of each pocket but are not clearly legible. Length: 10.5 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available.
