A Collection of Weller Pottery Roma and Flemish Pattern Art Pottery - A collection of American art pottery produced by Weller Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio, featuring items from the Roma, Flemish, and Bonita lines. The group is constructed from a cream-colored earthenware body with relief-molded polychrome decoration. The primary decorative themes include rose swags with lattice-work cutouts and grapevine motifs with fruit. The collection consists of a large round planter with a tapered base and a wide band of relief-molded roses; a pair of square-column candlesticks with relief-molded grapevine designs; a rectangular footed planter featuring rose swag panels and an open-work lattice rim; two square planters, one with grapevine designs and one with rose swags and a lattice rim; a small round footed planter with rose swags and a lattice rim; a tapered half-round wall pocket with rose swag decoration and a pierced mounting hole; and a cylindrical bud vase decorated with a blue ribbon and roses. various pieces bear the incised mark WELLER on the base. The bud vase retains a partial paper label reading Wel... NA 1914 - 1920s. Other pieces are attributed to Weller based on consistency in form, glaze, and relief-molded decoration.
