A Collection of Weller Art Pottery Roma Pattern Creamware - This collection of American art pottery items is produced by Weller Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio, in the Roma pattern. The set is composed of a pair of electric table lamps, a pair of candlesticks, a round bowl, a square planter featuring lion-head masks with rings at the corners, and a pedestal compote bowl. Each piece is crafted from cream-colored earthenware with a matte glaze and decorated with molded high-relief swags of roses and berries hand-tinted in shades of rose-pink, sage-green, and dusty-blue. The pedestal compote bowl is marked on the base with an impressed Weller Pottery stamp and the number 5. The remaining items are unmarked but visually identical in body, decoration, and glaze to the marked piece.
