Art Nouveau Majolica Two-Piece Jardiniere and Pedestal Set - This two-piece majolica jardiniere and matching pedestal set is constructed of relief-molded earthenware. The design is in the Art Nouveau style, characterized by elongated vertical stylized leaves and floral bud motifs. The pedestal features a flared top and base, with the base decorated by a series of circular floral medallions. The set is finished in a deep emerald green translucent glaze, with the relief elements accented in cream and pale pink. The underside of the pedestal base is impressed with the model number 2480. Based on visual characteristics and the model number, this set is attributed to Bretby Pottery. The interior of the pedestal shows the natural buff-colored earthenware body and manufacturing irregularities. Height: 25 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available.
