An Assortment of Ceramic Metal and Glass Decorative Items Including Blakeney Weller and Rookwood Pottery - This lot comprises an assortment of various decorative items including ceramics, metalwork, and glass. A prominent set is the blue and white transferware wash basin and pitcher featuring a dense fruit and floral motif; the undersides of both pieces bear a crest mark with the text Blakeney, ENGLAND, and Provence. A yellow-glazed earthenware pitcher with horizontal gray-green and black bands is marked on the base with an intertwined VR monogram. Also included is a small hand-painted bowl with a floral motif and an impressed WELLER POTTERY mark. A child’s divided ceramic plate features illustrations of animals on roller skates and is marked on the reverse CROWN POTTERIES CO. MADE IN U.S.A. with the date 2 43. A gold-finished ceramic cocker spaniel figurine from Rookwood Pottery is marked on the base GOLDEN COCKER SPANIEL, ROOKWOOD POTTERY 1985, Ed. 500, and 24K GOLD-FINISH. The collection also features a tall openwork metal vase with a cobalt blue glass liner, marked MADE IN CHINA on the base. Finally, a small rectangular pressed glass tray contains an inset sepia-toned photograph of a vine-covered house, with a label on the reverse reading Built 1773 and Prov, R.I.
