Two American Art Pottery Jardinieres Including Weller Dickensware - This lot comprises two early 20th-century American art pottery jardinieres of differing styles. The first is a Dickensware line piece produced by Weller Pottery. It features a squat, bulbous form with a wide, flared rim. The exterior is finished in a glossy orange-brown glaze and is decorated with slip-painted, five-petaled cream flowers with green leaves and stems. The base is impressed with the arched mark Dickensware, Weller, and the model number 804. The second item is a cylindrical jardiniere with a rounded base supported by four small integral feet, attributed to the Weller Pottery Clinton Ivory line. The exterior body is divided into panels featuring relief-molded climbing roses, vines, and leaves. The piece is finished in a two-tone matte glaze, characterized by a cream-colored ground with light tan or peach-colored highlights in the recessed areas to accentuate the relief pattern. The base of this vessel is unmarked. Weller Dickensware: 8 inches in height Relief-molded jardiniere: 8 inches in height, 10.5 inches in diameter at the rim. Burns in-house shipping is available.
