A Collection of Candlesticks by Wilcox Silver Plate Company and Baldwin - This collection of candlesticks includes silver-plated pieces and two solid brass pieces. The silver-plated items consist of two pairs of weighted, tapered candlesticks manufactured by the Wilcox Silver Plate Company, a subsidiary of the International Silver Company. The larger pair features a tall tapered form and is marked on the underside of the base with the Wilcox Silver Plate Company hallmark containing two crossed hammers, followed by INTERNATIONAL S.CO. and the model number 140. The mid-sized pair follows a similar design and is stamped on the underside with the Wilcox crossed hammer logo, INTERNATIONAL S.CO., MADE IN U.S.AMERICA, and the model number 141. One bobeche insert from this pair is currently loose. The solid brass pair features a traditional baluster-turned style. The underside of one brass candlestick retains its original grey felt pad with a gold octagonal label reading BALDWIN.
