A Pair of Art Deco Style Carved Alabaster and Marble Parrot Bookends - A pair of Art Deco style bookends featuring stylized parrots, attributed to Italian manufacture. Each bird is carved from translucent white alabaster and set with yellow glass eyes. The figures are mounted on rectangular plinths crafted from heavily veined, multi-toned marble. The parrots exhibit streamlined forms characteristic of the Art Deco period, with simple incised lines representing wing and tail feathers. The undersides of the marble bases are finished with green felt pads. No signatures, maker marks, or labels are present. Length: 10 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Friday, June 26 from 10 am to 5 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
