A Group of Weller Pottery Louwelsa Art Pottery Vessels - This collection of American art pottery consists of vessels from the Louwelsa line produced by the Weller Pottery Company in Zanesville, Ohio, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each piece is constructed of earthenware and features the factory's standard glaze, characterized by a high-gloss finish with a gradient color transition from deep chocolate brown to a warm golden amber. The collection includes a tall handled pitcher decorated with a hand-painted cherry and leaf motif, an ovoid berry vase with a thorny branch design and a hand-painted artist's monogram, possibly WM or WS, a slender vase with a scalloped piecrust rim and yellow floral decoration, and a bulbous jardiniere featuring narcissus or daffodils. Visible markings include an impressed LOUWELSA over WELLER stamp on the pitcher base alongside a block K and numbers 430 and 10. The berry vase bears an impressed circular LOUWELSA WELLER seal, the number 495, and a large X. The jardiniere is marked with an impressed size number 5.
