A Collection of American Art Pottery and Decorative Ceramic Pieces - This collection consists of art pottery and decorative ceramic items. Included is a bulbous earthenware jardiniere marked Dickens Ware Weller, shape 203, featuring hand-painted nasturtium flowers in orange and yellow with green foliage against a dark forest-green ground and a yellow glazed interior. Also present is a tapered cylindrical earthenware planter, incised with shape number 235, decorated with a stylized Art Deco geometric petal design in light green with black outlines on a cream ground. A Rookwood Pottery candlestick is included, featuring a flared base and matte cream glaze; it is marked with the RP flame logo, shape 6532, and date code XLVII for 1947. Completing the group is a miniature tri-footed vase with a dark green glaze and raised tubelined scrollwork in blue and white.
