American Encaustic Tiling Co. Ceramic Figural Ram Paperweight - A stylized ceramic figural paperweight produced by the American Encaustic Tiling Company (AETCO). The piece depicts a recumbent ram or ibex with large, ribbed horns that curve back to meet the animal's haunches, creating a circular negative space. The figure is mounted on a rectangular, two-tiered plinth base featuring a cove-molded lower edge. It is finished in a variegated multi-tone glaze, with a semi-matte olive green on the animal figure and a mottled teal blue crystalline glaze concentrated in the recessed areas and across the tiered base. The underside of the base is impressed with the mark AMERICAN ENCAUSTIC TILING CO LTD NEW YORK. Length: 5.5 inches Height: 3.75 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available.
