Vintage Colt Malt Liquor Cerveza Fria Illuminated Advertising Sign - This is a vintage illuminated advertising sign for Colt 45 Malt Liquor, manufactured circa 1980 for the G. Heileman Brewing Company. The sign features a black textured faceplate displaying the brand name in a stylized orange and yellow font. Below the primary branding, the phrase CERVEZA FRIA is printed in a cream-colored sans-serif typeface. The composition is framed by a blue double-line geometric border. The sign is constructed with a molded black plastic rear housing and a textured acrylic or plastic front panel. A paper manufacturer label is affixed to the back, identifying the maker as Embosograph Display Mfg. Co. of Chicago, Illinois, and providing instructions for the G. Heileman Brewing Co. (Code # 04061). The unit is powered by a vintage two-prong electrical cord. When illuminated, the internal bulb produces a red-orange glow through the lettering and a blue glow along the border.
