Two Vintage Stroh Brewery Company Illuminated Advertising Signs - This lot features two distinct illuminated breweriana advertising items produced for The Stroh Brewery Company of Detroit, Michigan. The first item is a Stroh Signature Premium Beer lighted wall clock constructed with a molded plastic frame finished in a wood-grain texture. The face features arched black serif lettering reading SIGNATURE, a central lion crest logo, and black Arabic numerals. Below the clock hands is a printed statement regarding the company's brewing heritage followed by a facsimile signature of John W. Stroh. The reverse retains a manufacturer's label identifying the maker and code L-901-A. The second item is a Stroh Light Illuminated Prestige back bar sign housed in a gold-toned frame. The sign is divided into two sections: an upper mirrored panel featuring a three-dimensional molded lion crest on a red shield and a lower black panel with the text STROH LIGHT BEER in red and yellow. When illuminated, the sign produces a dynamic starburst light effect radiating from behind the central crest. A factory label on the back identifies the manufacturer as Thomas A. Schutz Co. Inc. of Wheeling, Illinois, and specifies the use of an FC8T9/CW watt circle line lamp. Both units are equipped with standard electrical cords.
