Vintage 1983 Wiedemann Cold Beer Lighted Advertising Sign - A vintage lighted advertising sign produced for Wiedemann Beer by Chromograph Display Manufacturing Company of Chicago, Illinois. The sign features a vacuum-formed molded plastic face set within a gold-toned frame. The central graphic displays the word COLD in large blue and white striped block lettering above the traditional Wiedemann brewery crest, which includes a bald eagle with outstretched wings atop a red W logo framed by wheat stalks and a red and white striped shield. The brand name WIEDEMANN is printed in red serif font with BEER in a smaller red block font below. The design is framed at the top and bottom by blue rectangular panels with white wheat head motifs. The reverse of the sign includes a cardboard backing with an original manufacturer label and a metal access panel for relamping. The electrical system is designed for 115 volt AC power and utilizes a 15 watt 15A15 frosted bulb. A copyright notice on the front lower edge and reverse label identifies the 1983 copyright by the G. Heileman Brewing Company, La Crosse, Wisconsin. 14 inches high by 17 inches wide. Burns in-house shipping is available.
