1950s Blatz Beer Barrel Man Banjo Electric Back Bar Advertising Display - This is a mid-twentieth century point-of-purchase advertising display produced for the Blatz Brewing Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The piece features a three-dimensional composition figure known as the Barrel Man or Keg Man, depicted playing a banjo. The figure is set within a shadowbox frame lined with red velour, positioned next to a miniature brown glass beer bottle. The frame is constructed with a wood-grained laminate finish. The top portion of the display houses a backlit sign panel printed with the slogan IT IS DRAFT-BREWED BLATZ PASTEURIZED. A handwritten name, L. McCorkie, is visible in ink on the lower portion of this sign. The side panel features the brand logo inside a triangle surrounded by hops and barley. The Barrel Man figure also displays the Blatz script on a triangular background. The miniature bottle retains its paper labels which read MILWAUKEE'S FINEST BEER. The unit is equipped with an electric cord and a non-polarized plug. Dimensions: 17.5 x 11.5 x 4.5 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available.
