Vintage Michelob Lighted Shield Bar Sign Produced by Lakeside Plastics - This is a vintage illuminated wall-mounted advertising sign for Michelob beer, an Anheuser-Busch brand. The sign is designed in the form of a heraldic crest or shield, featuring a molded plastic housing with a metallic gold-tone finish and a metal backplate. The front display is divided into three primary panels: the top left shows a green hop cone and yellow barley sprigs against a translucent green background; the bottom left features a black and gold-tone drinking horn on a translucent red background; and the right section contains gold-tone scrollwork on a black field with a central vertical ribbed red panel and a circular medallion bearing the Anheuser-Busch A and Eagle logo. The brand name MICHELOB is rendered in a stylized gold-tone serif font across the center, with a lower ribbon banner marked SINCE 1896. Identifying text along the bottom inner rim reads ANHEUSER-BUSCH, INC., ST. LOUIS, MO. The reverse features an original manufacturer label from Lakeside Plastics, Minneapolis and Chicago, with serial number 2448456. Also present is a yellow union label for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (I. B. of T.).
