Two Vintage 1980s Lighted Brewery Signs for Herman Joseph's 1868 and Stroh's Beer - This lot features two vintage electric brewery signs commonly used as tavern decor during the 1980s. The first item is a Herman Joseph's 1868 lighted sign, representing the super-premium brand introduced by Coors in 1980. The sign is constructed of scalloped black molded plastic housing with a yellow border. The face features a central circular crest at the top, followed by Herman Joseph's in white script and 1868 in large yellow digits. The reverse side includes a silver identification label marked Electric Sign 910361. The second item is a Stroh's Beer lighted sign designed to mimic the appearance of neon. It consists of a rectangular black molded plastic frame with a yellow border. The Stroh's name is rendered in raised red translucent plastic script with a corresponding red underline bar. The word BEER appears in yellow block letters at the bottom right. The design includes the Stroh's family crest with a crowned lion. A manufacturer label on the back identifies it as being produced by Wells Badger Industries Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for The Stroh Brewery Co., Detroit, Michigan, part number 40753. The name Ruby is handwritten in white ink on the lower left front corner. Both signs are powered by standard electrical cords. Herman Joseph's Sign: Approximately 15 inches wide.
