Miniature Victorian Style Cast Iron Swivel Dresser Mirror - This miniature swivel dresser mirror is constructed from cast iron in the Rococo Revival style. The rectangular frame and base feature scrolling foliate motifs, beaded borders, and a shell-form crest on the side of the mirror frame. The glass mirror plate is held in place by four integral metal tabs on the reverse. The piece retains a dark painted finish that shows extensive wear, revealing a red primer or undercoating in various areas. The mirror swivels on a decorative stand supported by a four-footed scrolled base. The reverse vertical edge of the mirror frame is marked with raised characters reading PAT APPLD FOR.
