Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer in Aromatic Red Cedar - This is a four-string Appalachian mountain dulcimer featuring a traditional hourglass-shaped body. The instrument is constructed from solid wood, primarily aromatic red cedar as indicated by the variegated red and blonde grain patterns on the top, back, and sides. The fretboard consists of a darker hardwood, likely walnut or mahogany. It is designed with four circular sound holes, two on each bout. The headstock terminates in a simple scroll and is fitted with four chrome-finished geared tuning machines. The fretboard has a diatonic fret arrangement with dot markers at the third, seventh, tenth, and fourteenth positions. No maker mark, label, or signature is visible on the exterior or through the sound holes.
