Vintage 17 Fret 4 String Tenor Banjo with Birdseye Maple Neck - This is an unbranded vintage 4 string tenor banjo featuring a 17 fret fingerboard. The neck is constructed from figured birdseye maple, while the fingerboard is composed of a dark wood with simple dot position markers. The open back pot consists of a wooden rim with a wooden dowel stick coordinator and 16 metal tension brackets and hooks. The instrument is fitted with a natural skin head and a three footed wooden bridge. Hardware includes a metal tailpiece with felt damping and friction tuners with white plastic buttons. Faint, incised characters are present on the bass side of the headstock, though they are not clearly legible. Overall length: 31.5 inches Pot diameter: 11 inches Scale length: 21 inches. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
