Malachy Kearns Handcrafted 16-Inch Tunable Bodhran with Tippers and Original Box - This is a handcrafted tunable bodhran manufactured by Malachy Kearns of Roundstone Musical Instruments in Connemara, Ireland. The instrument features a natural goatskin head secured to a dark-stained wooden frame with a row of brass-toned metal tacks. This tunable model is equipped with six internal mechanical tuning lugs featuring knurled adjustment knobs. The interior of the frame contains a fixed wooden T-bar crossbrace. A gold-toned metal Claddagh symbol is applied to the exterior of the frame. Included with the drum are two wooden tippers of different profiles and the original cardboard carrying case with a built-in handle. Markings include a circular paper label inside the frame and on the box identifying the maker as Malachy Kearns. The interior of the wooden frame is also stamped in gold with MALACHY KEARNS, MADE IN CONNEMARA, and (095) 35875. Diameter: Approximately 16 inches Depth: Approximately 4 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
