A Pair of Vintage Amber Glass Traffic Signal Lenses, Crouse-Hinds Part Number 553400 - This lot features a pair of vintage amber glass traffic signal lenses, manufactured by Corning for the Crouse-Hinds Company. These lenses are designed for use in standard 8-inch traffic signal housings. The lenses are constructed from heavy amber glass and feature a prismatic, textured pattern across the face to facilitate light diffusion. Embossed markings are present on both the outer rim and the face. The rim text is transcribed as follows: CORNING MADE IN U.S.A. 8 3/8” D. N. F.RDL. 553400. The face of the lenses includes a TOP directional marker and a small hexagonal logo containing the letters CH, which is the maker's mark for the Crouse-Hinds Company. One lens remains fitted with its black rubber mounting gasket. Diameter: Approximately 8 3/8 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
