St. Clair Marigold Carnival Glass Indian Head Toothpick Holder, 1977 - This is a pressed carnival glass toothpick holder produced by St. Clair Glass Works. The vessel is molded in the form of a Native American chief wearing a full feathered headdress. It features a marigold iridescent finish over a translucent orange base glass. The molded detail includes individual feathers forming the rim of the holder and a beaded headband above the facial features. The reverse side of the vessel displays textured hair. The base is embossed with the marks ST. CLAIR 1977. As a pressed glass object, the base is finished flat within the mold and does not feature a pontil mark. Height: approximately 2.75 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
