Bendix-Westinghouse Vintage Dual Trumpet Air Horn Assembly, Dated 1947 - This vintage dual trumpet air horn assembly was manufactured by Bendix-Westinghouse, as indicated by the diamond logo featuring the letters BW on the housing and trumpets. The unit consists of two chrome-finished trumpets attached to a black-finished cast manifold and diaphragm housing. Stamped part numbers include T-212678-A on the trumpets, and 889712 and T-212688 on the rear housing components. A manufacturing date stamp of 7-31-47 is located on the center manifold section. This type of heavy-duty air horn was standard equipment for mid-century American semi-trucks, buses, and industrial vehicles from manufacturers including Mack, White, and International Harvester.
