An Assortment of Vintage Mid-Century Modern Kitchenware and Tableware Including West Bend and Carvel Hall - This collection features a variety of mid-century modern kitchen and tableware items. Included is a West Bend Penguin Hot and Cold Server, which is a spherical chrome-plated ice bucket or server featuring an embossed penguin motif around the center. It has a removable lid with a spherical knob and two stepped handles. The base is stamped with markings from the West Bend Aluminum Co. of West Bend, Wisconsin, including patent numbers 2,349,099 and DES. 127,279. The lot includes Carvel Hall cutlery sets consisting of steak knives and a two-piece carving set presented in their original dark wood display trays. The handles feature a textured silver-tone finish and the blades are marked Carvel Hall Stainless-USA. A wooden serving set is present, comprising a large master bowl and matching individual side bowls in dark-stained wood. Also included is an assortment of vintage kitchen utensils such as rotary beaters, wire whisks, a wooden serving fork, a slotted spoon, an ice cream scoop, and a curved dough cutter. Miscellaneous items include a pressed amber glass jar in the Moon and Star pattern, a polished green stone orb on a decorative gilt-metal tripod stand, a small knife with a blue and white floral porcelain handle, and two stainless steel bowls, one marked Normandy Distributor NY Made in Japan. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
