Lionel The Black River Freight O27 Gauge Electric Train Set with Original Box - A Lionel The Black River Freight (No. 6-1582) O27 gauge electric freight train set. The set features a No. 8602 2-4-0 steam locomotive with a die-cast metal body, embossed on the underside with LIONEL, MT. CLEMENS, MICH, and MADE IN U.S.A. The locomotive is paired with a black molded plastic tender marked for the Rio Grande railroad. The set includes four freight cars constructed of molded plastic: a yellow Chessie System / B&O 9016 hopper, a blue Republic Steel 9026 flatcar, a blue C&O 9157 gondola, and a green Burlington / CB&Q 9140 gondola. Markings on the cars indicate they were built in 1975 and 1976 (BLT 1-75/1-76). Accessories included in the set are a blue Lionel Trainmaster transformer, a quantity of curved and straight stamped metal track sections, a brown plastic trestle set, and components for a bridge and tunnel. A clear plastic bag contains smaller accessories such as telephone poles and road signs. Original paperwork and instructions are present. The packaging indicates a total of 69 pieces and features including a working headlight and chugging sound. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
