Antique Haudenosaunee Iroquois Style Raised Beadwork Needle Case - This item is a late 19th or early 20th-century beaded needle book, attributed to Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) makers, likely produced for the Niagara Falls souvenir trade. The exterior features red and blue fabric covers decorated with elaborate raised beadwork motifs using clear, white, and translucent light blue glass seed beads. The central designs include a four-petaled floral or star-like form and a pair of birds facing each other. The edges are embellished with a looped glass bead fringe. The interior is lined with polished cotton or silk in yellow, green, and purple, and contains several fabric leaves made of felt or wool for the storage of pins and needles. Three metal sewing pins are present in the green leaf. Length (unfolded): 7 inches Width (unfolded): 4 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH.
