(DJ) - A collection of books and ephemera encompassing a wide range of subjects including art history, maritime modeling, regional gardening, genealogy, and collegiate history. Notable volumes include William M. Klein, Jr., Gardens of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley, with photography by Derek Fell, in publisher's cloth with dust jacket; Klaus Turk, Man at Work: 400 Years in Paintings and Bronzes, published by the Eckhart G. Grohmann Collection at the Milwaukee School of Engineering; and Grandma Moses in the 21st Century, in publisher's cloth with dust jacket. Biographical works include Albert Parry, Whistler’s Father, and Elizabeth Mumford, Whistler’s Mother, both bound in cloth. Maritime modeling is represented by softcover editions of Charles G. Davis, Ship Models: How to Build Them, and E. Armitage McCann, How to Make a Clipper Ship Model. The collection also features collegiate and organizational materials including the Epitome 1959 Lehigh University yearbook and a Chi Phi Fraternity booklet titled 150 Years PSI Chapter. Additional titles include Boericke’s Materia Medica with Repertory in black cloth; Julius King, Wild Flowers at a glance; Andrew Stewart Jamieson, Coats of Arms; and a maroon hardcover titled The Legacy with a gilt 55 on the upper board. The lot is rounded out by various softcover guidebooks for Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and Newport Mansions sites such as The Breakers, along with a boxed set of Hudson River School Paintings: 24 Art Cards. Bindings consist of publisher's cloth, pictorial boards, and printed softcovers. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
