Champion Blower and Forge Co. Portable Blacksmith Forge with Assorted Tongs - This antique portable blacksmith's rivet forge was produced by the Champion Blower and Forge Company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The unit is equipped with a hand-cranked blower, identified as a No. 400 model by the cast-in markings and housing design. The blower is supported by a wrought steel tripod pedestal, which also holds a circular sheet metal forge pan. A central cast iron tuyere is located within the pan for air distribution. The blower housing features cast lettering that reads CHAMPION BLOWER & FORGE CO. and LANCASTER, PA. U.S.A. Included in the lot is an assortment of blacksmithing tools, including several pairs of wrought iron tongs and a metal rod. Height: Approximately 33 to 34 inches Blower housing width: Approximately 8 to 9 inches.
