The unit is constructed with a large cylindrical copper tub supported by a heavy cast iron frame featuring the embossed text 1900 CATARACT. The machine includes an integrated Anchor Brand wooden wringer attachment with adjustable tensioning keys. The lot includes a vintage mechanical check protector produced by the Miami Systems Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio. The device features a black crinkle-finish metal body, serial number 439662, and a label from the William J. Burns International Detective Agency indicating insurance against altered checks. An assortment of antique hand irons is present, including a green enameled Waage Traveler's Iron by the Waage Electric Co., gasoline-fueled irons with spherical chrome-finished fuel tanks, and multiple cast iron sad irons, one of which bears the embossed mark BESTO on the base.
