A.P. Donaghho Parkersburg, West Virginia Salt-Glazed Stoneware Wax Sealer Jar - Half gallon. This cylindrical stoneware storage jar is a product of the A.P. Donaghho pottery, which operated in Parkersburg, West Virginia, during the late 19th century. The vessel features a salt-glazed exterior with a characteristic tan color and orange-peel texture. The interior is coated with a dark brown ferruginous clay glaze, known as Albany slip, used for waterproofing. The jar is designed as a wax sealer, featuring a wide, molded rim. The side of the piece displays cobalt blue stenciled lettering reading A. P. Donaghho Parkersburg, W. Va. Height: 8 inches.Shipping Available.
