Two Vintage 1955 Ohio State License Plates - This lot consists of two embossed steel vehicle registration plates from the state of Ohio, dated 1955. The first plate features the alphanumeric code X 770 H in yellow-gold paint over a dark blue background. The second plate features the alphanumeric code X 66 V in white paint over a dark blue background. Both plates are embossed at the bottom border with the year 1955 and the state name OHIO. The plates are rectangular with rounded corners and include four pre-drilled mounting holes. The reverse sides display the dark blue base metal with the negative of the embossed characters and fragments of white adhesive tape on the upper corners. The different color schemes on these plates represent various vehicle weight or registration classifications used by Ohio in the mid-1950s.Shipping Available.
