1912 Ohio Porcelain Enamel License Plate, Registration Number 52180 - This is a genuine antique Ohio state-issued automobile license plate from 1912. The plate is constructed of porcelain enamel over a heavy gauge steel base. It features a tripartite color scheme and layout characteristic of early Ohio issues. The central field is a cream or off-white color with the registration number 52180 in large dark green numerals. The left and right margins are finished in dark green with vertical lettering and numbering in cream. The reverse side is unfinished and displays heavy oxidation with traces of the original dark green and yellow-green primer. Two modern adhesive-backed hook-and-loop strips are present on the upper corners of the reverse.
