A Collection of United States Army World War II Medals, Insignia, and Badges - This collection consists of United States Army military memorabilia from the World War II era, mounted on a red display board. The grouping includes four medals with corresponding ribbon bars: an Army Good Conduct Medal, a World War II Victory Medal, an American Campaign Medal, and a European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. The latter medal and its ribbon bar are adorned with four bronze service stars, indicating participation in five separate campaigns. The embroidered shoulder sleeve insignia (patches) feature the First Army, the Second Army, the 7th Armored Division, and the Advanced Section, Communications Zone (ADSEC). Also included are a pair of Private First Class (PFC) rank chevrons, an honorable service lapel patch (commonly known as the ”Ruptured Duck”), and an overseas service bar patch with three gold stripes representing 18 months of foreign service. Metal insignia comprise a pair of enamel distinctive unit insignia (DUI) pins for the 411th Engineer Brigade with the motto ”ARTIBUS ET ARMIS,” a brass ”U.S.” collar disk, and a Corps of Engineers castle collar disk. Marksmanship qualification badges include a Sharpshooter badge with a ”RIFLE” clasp and a Marksman badge with a ”CARBINE” clasp. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
