A Collection of United States Marine Corps Insignia and Badges Representing Multiple Eras - This collection consists of United States Marine Corps insignia and badges mounted on two paperboard panels. The assortment features a variety of Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblems for enlisted personnel in brass, gold-toned, and blackened subdued finishes. The emblems include cover and collar insignias grouped by handwritten notations into World War I and World War II era categories. Also present is a gold-toned US Navy and Marine Corps Parachutist badge and a silver-toned US Navy and Marine Corps Scuba Diver badge. The rank insignia includes blackened metal pin-on chevrons for the ranks of Corporal and Lance Corporal, featuring the crossed rifles motif established in 1959. Additional items include a gold-toned tie bar with an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem. One section of the board includes a handwritten note designating certain items as reproductions. The board includes a label for the Civil War era, though the associated emblems represent patterns developed after the 1868 adoption of the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor design. Parachutist badge: approximately 1.5 inches in width Scuba Diver badge: approximately 1 inch in width. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
