Vintage Red Cast Iron Hand Water Pump with Ashland Ohio Markings - This cast iron hand-operated water pump is finished in red paint and mounted to a weathered wooden platform. The assembly features a long lever handle, a curved discharge spout with an integrated shut-off valve, and a vertical pump rod. The base of the pump casting includes raised lettering that reads ASHLAND, O. U.S.A. and is marked with the number 3686 and the letter W. The manufacture location of Ashland, Ohio, was a prominent center for pump production, notably the home of F.E. Myers and Bro. Co. Handle length: approximately 70 inches.
