Adlake Kero Hiram L. Piper CNR Canadian National Railway Lantern - This Adlake Kero railroad lantern was manufactured by The Hiram L. Piper Co. Ltd. for the Canadian National Railway (CNR). The unit is constructed from a metal frame with a protective wire cage housing a clear glass globe. The top chimney of the frame is stamped with the text THE HIRAM L. PIPER CO. LTD. and CNR. The clear glass globe is embossed with the inscriptions CNR and ADLAKE KERO. On the underside of the base, the lantern is stamped with several markings including ADLAKE, USA, CANADA, 1921-1923, and patent numbers 1415633, 415634-1415633, and 1660194. A manufacture date code of 2-48 is present, indicating a production date of February 1948. The lantern is complete with its original wire bail handle and a removable fuel fount at the base. Height: 14 inches (with bail handle extended).Pickup is Friday, July 17, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Londonderry, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
