A Trio of Vintage Industrial and Agricultural Advertising Memorabilia - This lot consists of three vintage advertising pieces from the mid-20th century. The first item is a Smith’s Well Drilling wall-mounted metal thermometer featuring red and white graphics. The advertisement lists services for pump sales, installation, and trenching, and includes a Columbus, Ohio area phone number. The thermometer contains an intact glass tube with temperature scales in both Fahrenheit and Celsius and is marked Made in USA. The second item is a DeKalb AgResearch, Inc. manual rain gauge recorder made of yellow-painted metal. It features the company's trademark winged ear of corn logo, a 4-inch integrated ruler, and a rotating pink plastic dial for recording rainfall totals. The third item is a wall-mounted metal matchbox dispenser for the Lockbourne Concrete Products Co. of Lockbourne, Ohio. The front of the dispenser lists various manufactured products such as cement blocks and sewer pipes, while the side panel lists company officers C. M. Allspaugh, C. W. Johnson, and J. B. Eitel. The dispenser holds two vintage matchboxes including one from Caesars Indiana.
