An Assortment of Vintage Machinist Precision Measuring and Layout Tools - This comprehensive collection includes a variety of precision measurement and layout instruments produced by several prominent 20th-century manufacturers, including L.S. Starrett Co., Mitutoyo, Federal Products Corp., Lufkin Rule Co., and Brown & Sharpe. The assortment features precision levels and square heads, including a Starrett No. 132 12-inch precision level, a Starrett No. 12 protractor head, and a Mitutoyo No. 180-102 combination square head. The measuring instruments include three dial indicators: a Starrett No. 711 Last Word indicator and two Federal models, one identified as a Model C5M with .0005-inch graduations. Layout and gauging tools consist of a Starrett No. 237 depth gauge, Starrett No. 161 and No. 290 parallel clamps, a Starrett No. S 117 center punch set, and a Starrett No. S 331 E small hole gauge set in red vinyl pouches. The lot contains several precision rules, notably a Starrett 24-inch hardened rule with 16R graduations, a Mitutoyo No. 180-501 6-inch stainless rule, and a Brown & Sharpe No. 314-604 6-inch tempered rule. Additional components include two Lufkin radius gauge sets in brown leather pouches, various spring dividers and calipers marked by Union Caliper Co., Lufkin, and R&S Mfg. Co., and a boxed Gladwin indicator set. The tools are primarily constructed from hardened steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. A metal tin containing assorted indicator tips and small layout accessories is also included.
