Connecticut Valley Arms Kentucky Percussion Pistol .45 Caliber with 10 Inch Barrel - This is a single-shot percussion muzzleloading pistol manufactured by Connecticut Valley Arms in the traditional Kentucky style. The firearm is chambered for .45 caliber and features a 10-inch octagonal steel barrel with a light finish. The side-mounted percussion lock includes a lock plate with engraved scrollwork and case-hardened colors, and the action appears to function correctly. The pistol is fitted with a full-length wooden stock featuring a curved grip and a smooth finish. Decorative brass furniture highlights the design, including a trigger guard, side plate, ramrod thimbles, and a muzzle nose cap. Sights consist of a fixed brass blade front sight and a notched steel rear sight. A wooden ramrod with a brass tip is stowed in the channel beneath the barrel. Key markings on the barrel flats include Connecticut Valley Arms Inc., Italy, and Black Powder Only .45 Cal. while the lock plate features a sunburst and scroll pattern. The overall length of the firearm measures approximately 14.75 inches. This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check.
