Hawes Model 1851 Navy Single Action Percussion Revolver .36 Caliber with 7.5 Inch Barrel - This Hawes single action percussion revolver is an Italian-made reproduction of the Colt Model 1851 Navy chambered in .36 caliber. The firearm features a 7.5 inch blued octagonal barrel with a brass bead front sight and a six-shot cylinder decorated with a rolled naval battle scene. The revolver is constructed with a brass frame, trigger guard, and backstrap, fitted with a smooth one-piece wood grip. Prominent markings include HAWES stamped on the left side of the frame and MADE IN ITALY on the right side of the barrel. The underside of the barrel assembly is stamped with the serial number 2763 and the underside of the frame is marked X2763. The lot includes a wide, heavy brown leather belt with a rectangular brass-tone buckle and a matching loop-style leather holster.
