Hopkins & Allen Percussion Muzzleloading Rifle .45 Caliber with 32 Inch Barrel - This is a single Hopkins & Allen percussion muzzleloading rifle chambered in .45 caliber, designed for target shooting and sporting applications. The rifle features a 32-inch octagonal blued steel barrel and a full-length light-colored hardwood stock with a glossy finish. Technical specifications include a side-lock percussion action with a case-hardened hammer and lock plate, complemented by a double set trigger system housed within a scrolled brass trigger guard. The furniture is composed of polished brass, including a crescent buttplate, side plate, nose cap, and three ramrod pipes that secure a wooden ramrod beneath the barrel. The sighting system consists of a fixed front blade and an adjustable rear buckhorn-style sight. Key markings include the stamped characters MADE IN SPAIN and HOPKINS & ALLEN on the left side of the breech, and BLACK POWDER ONLY 45 CAL. on the right side of the breech, while the lock plate features a stylized H & A mark. This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check.
