* Crescent Fire Arms Co. Empire Single Shot Hammer Shotgun 12 Gauge with 27.5 Inch Barrel - One Crescent Fire Arms Co. Empire single-shot break-action hammer shotgun chambered for 12 gauge, designed as a traditional field gun. The firearm is equipped with a 27.5-inch barrel and features a side-lever opening mechanism. The metal surfaces exhibit a heavily worn dark patina with widespread surface pitting on both the barrel and the receiver. The furniture consists of a checkered wood pistol-grip stock and a matching forend, both showing significant age-related wear including numerous scratches, dings, and a dulled finish. The black composite buttplate is a notable condition defect, as it is broken with the bottom section missing. Key markings include the script mark Empire on the left side of the receiver and the block-lettered stamp CHOKE BORED near the breech. The firearm is not marked with a visible serial number. The action appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm. In house shipping is available. This firearm is at least 50 years old.
