** Weatherby Vanguard Bolt Action Rifle .270 Win with 24 Inch Barrel - This lot features a Weatherby Vanguard bolt-action rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. Manufactured by Howa in Japan and imported by Weatherby, the rifle is configured with a 24-inch barrel finished in a matte stainless steel. The barreled action is mounted in a high-gloss finished wood stock characterized by a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, a rosewood forend tip, and a matching grip cap. The furniture displays skip-line checkering on both the grip and forend and is fitted with a black rubber recoil pad and two sling swivel studs. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting and currently contains four filler screws. Prominent markings include VANGUARD in a stylized font on the left side of the receiver, followed by by Weatherby in script and ATASCADERO CALIF. MADE IN JAPAN in block letters. The left side of the barrel is stamped USE ONLY .270 WIN. and the right side of the receiver bears the serial number VS232612. The manual safety toggle is located on the right side of the shroud and is marked with a white S and red F. In house shipping available.
