NATO Military Automatic Side-Opening Folding Knife Made in Korea - A commercial Cold War era automatic folding knife featuring the NATO Military branding. This side-opening model consists of a stainless steel spear-point blade and a two-tone plastic handle. The handle scales are constructed from textured olive drab green plastic with black plastic bolsters at the guard and pommel. Deployment is achieved through a sliding serrated plastic switch located on the side of the handle, which releases the blade from the side. The blade must be manually folded back into the handle to reset the internal spring mechanism. The blade tang is stamped with three lines of text reading STAINLESS STEEL / MADE IN KOREA. A recessed oval panel on the primary handle scale contains white printed text stating NATO MILITARY. The handle assembly is secured by three visible brass pins.
